CALAMANSI

Calamansi
Scientific Name: Citrofortunella microcarpa
Common Name: calamondin, golden lime, panama orange, chinese orange, acid orange, calamonding, or calamandarin
Originate from: China and has spread throughout Southeast Asia, India, Hawaii, West Indies, Central and North America. The fruit is indigenous and widely cultivated in the Philippines.
Appearance: round greenish to yellow in color, 2 cm to 4.5 cm fruit

Calamansi is said to be a good source of vitamin C. Its fruit has been processed into syrups, juices, concentrates, and purees.
